Our COVID-19 Response

Stay Safe. Stay in Great Health.

Like many of you, we at Natural Factors have been closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic. Our thoughts are with everyone who’s been affected by the virus, and we thank those brave citizens working around the clock to care for us during this time. We would also like to thank those essential workers who continue to keep our communities running.

We all have an important part to play in preventing the spread of COVID-19. As a designated essential service, we’re doing our part by focusing on our two main guiding principles: 1) to protect the health and safety of our employees and 2) to protect our ability to produce and supply safe health supplements.

Here’s how we’re taking extra care to make this happen.

Protecting the health and safety of our employees

Firstly, we established a strategic task force compromised of employees from different branches of the company to closely monitor the recommendations of government agencies. As new information emerges, this task force will continue to follow the guidance of public health authorities and adjust our policies as required.

Since the initial warnings from government officials, we have taken the following precautions:

  • We have enabled many members of our team to work from home to help increase the physical distancing within our offices, warehouses, and manufacturing facilities.
  • Employees showing any symptoms of respiratory or flu-like illness are required to stay home.
  • We have mandated that any staff returning from outside the country must self-isolate for 14 days and provide medical clearance before returning to work.

Additionally, although we place great value on in-person meetings and industry events, we have restricted all non-essential travel until further notice.

Bolstering our facilities

Proper air filtration, well-designed operating procedures, thorough routine sanitation, environment monitoring, and strict adherence to cleaning standards are our norm. Our manufacturing buildings are Good Manufacturing Practices accredited, meaning we apply and meet standard pharmaceutical protocols for cleanliness and hygiene. However, since the outbreak of COVID-19, we have taken additional measures such as disinfecting all common areas throughout the day using 70% isopropanol, a disinfectant recommended by CCOHS, Public Health Agency Department – Government of Canada, and Health Link BC to ensure our workspace remains a safe space for our employees. We are extremely thankful to our dedicated staff who are working diligently to keep our facilities running in a clean and safe manner.

Screening to help slow the spread of COVID-19

We have taken extraordinary measures in all facilities to ensure we are as safe as possible. Starting April 1, 2020, all employees, contractors, and visitors are required to undergo a temperature screening upon entry to any of our facilities. Upon entry, temperatures are being taken using a non-contact infrared thermometer by a trained security guard or staff member. Screeners are wearing personal protective equipment to ensure their safety as well.

Protecting our ability to produce and supply safe health supplements.

We understand that supporting the health and well-being of you and your family is one of the most important things right now. We have increased our in-house inventory on potentially impacted items to ensure we can continue providing supplements to the best of our ability to keep you and your family well.

As always, we appreciate your loyalty and will continue to keep you informed and we will work to diligently maintain the well-being of our employees, retailers, and you, our valued customer.
