Our Commitment to Sustainable Fishing

Every single one of our product stories starts with a source. Natural Factors is dedicated to keeping that source as close to nature as possible, and nothing is more natural than the pristine wilderness of Alaska. Roaring streams give way to colorful fields of wildflowers, while soaring mountain peaks rise dramatically from icy clear waters. The deep waters of the North Pacific are some of the most unpolluted in the world. This is where we source the salmon to make our 100% Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil.

Here at Natural Factors, we have been sourcing this ecologically friendly wild salmon for over 25 years. In fact, we were the first company in Canada to offer whole and natural wild-caught Alaskan salmon oil. Our wild salmon oil contains all the synergistically active fatty acids in the naturally occurring ratio found in free-swimming salmon – just as nature intended.

With this closer-to-nature approach, salmon is harvested according to strictly regulated conservation guidelines set by one of the world’s leading ocean stewards, the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, which guarantees that no endangered species are used. We harvest our high-quality oil from the parts that would otherwise be wasted, thereby conserving existing salmon stocks.

It is crucial that we know the whole story behind each product before it gets the Natural Factors label. We do not cut corners when it comes to animals and their habitats, environmental factors that will affect future generations, and the positive impact our products have on your health. Our 100% Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil is an example of how we strive to work synergistically with nature to provide you and your family with the best the earth has to offer.
